I wanted to get in the holiday spirit but figured it's way too early to put up a Christmas tree. Walking through Target today, I saw they have an inexpensive display-tree for ornaments which is perfect -- it lets me enjoy my ornaments without any fuss.
Do you have ornaments you want to take out? Consider this option.
Too early to put up the Christmas tree? Never! Ours went up yesterday! Although I do like this option and it's probably all I'd ever put up if I lived alone. - A
ReplyDeleteKudos to you! And, yes, living with someone provides more motivation to decorate.
DeleteOur friends tree has been up for 3 Years now and they refuse to take it down. They are not religious so it is the "gift tree". Birthday presents sit under there normally :)
ReplyDeleteHa! That's the first time I've heard this.
DeleteI'm starting to think about Christmas decorating now. Hoping to get to some of it later this week.
ReplyDeleteWe often don't put up a tree other than 2 very small fake ones. Every year I try to change up our decorations by making something.
I love the motorbike!

I like your Snoopy ornament! I've been collecting Snoopy ornaments for years.
ReplyDeleteI am in the middle of moving, so not sure about the Christmas tree plans - I have two fake ones, one small and one tiny (tabletop). I am thinking about setting up my tabletop one as soon as possible because I love to eat breakfast while looking at the Christmas tree lights ... it makes waking up for work so much more bearable.
I agree. The mere sight of holiday decorations always lifts my mood.
DeleteWhat a great idea! I haven't seen these handy ornament displays in Canada yet. I'd definitely like to pick one up, if I do spot them on this side of the border. They'd be a great way to show off some ornaments that I might want to display in an area (say, like a powder room counter) that was too small for even most mini sized (faux) trees.
ReplyDeleteHappy last day of November wishes,
♥ Jessica
What a good idea for homes without cats! This season marks the first time in many years that there will be a Christmas kitten about. I'll be borrowing non-breakable ornaments from a friend who is a retired first-grade teacher with an inexhaustable supply of paper, pipe-cleaner and cotton ball doodads. She may even toss in a few ribbons strung with Cherrios and Fruit-Loops.
ReplyDeleteNow to sort out my Christmas tree pin collection. Have you seen the elebenty zillion ways these can be displayed as ornaments or accessories? Moi, I'd like to find a gigantic mushroom of a green velvet beret and affix them thereto! This would provide built-in storage convenience and spare my pet black velvet blazer the pin holes.
You have great ornaments, they're fun and say something about who you are. As for me... it's been a bit hectic, haven't had time to think about Christmas (or anything else for that matter), but I should get to it soon. I usually take out a few selected ornaments, some of them old and some less old, both in Finland and in England (never mind where we'll stay over Christmas), but I tend to leave it till the last minute.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea ... We put up such a small tree that this would be perfect for us!
ReplyDeleteI also saw the inexpensive tree ornaments at Target and some of them were absolutely chic. I did get one monogram ornament but I am really looking forward to them being on sale after the holiday since I already have enough ornaments lol. Love the photo as well.

it looks lovely! I find it too early as well and can't wait till my usual date for starting on Christmas decor at home
ReplyDeleteLove this! I have a few ornaments I really can't wait to get out of storage--it's a beautiful surprise to see what we have there :) My favorite is the cute boxer ornament we got that we had personalized for our dog Buster. Thanks so much for sharing--a great idea without having to haul out the Christmas tree already! XO
ReplyDeleteI spied a motorbike - why am I not surprised! Love it! I have some much loved ornaments I do love getting out so old favourites will be on display.

I have some beautiful faberge egg style decorations we found at my Grandad's house when he died which I kept- not used them yet and want to! But we are too scared to go in the loft in case of wasps or spiders and so the tree remains up there!x
ReplyDeleteToo early? It was usually traditional for my family to put the tree up right after Thanksgiving and leave it until the new year.
ReplyDeleteGranted I am firmly anti-tree. Too many years being made to put up the family tree on my own as though it was fun to decorate it by myself. ): We also always had a fake tree and I hated touching them.
I do have a few ornaments that I hang on my wire-star bowl I have on the wall.
My social media feeds are full of people with their trees up here, real ones at that, no idea if they even last a full month. Mine isn't up yet, I shall probably do it next weekend and am looking forward to having the twinkling lights in my living room.
