I picked up this fancy new gown yesterday. It is crafted by the talented designers in The House of Rubbermaid, a venerable establishment situated in the center of Paris. The color of the gown is midnight black and the piece possesses a very sophisticated design. Granted, not everyone will like its avant-garde style but true art never pleases the masses.
For something so elegant, I added black fishnets and velvety black Steve Madden platform pumps.
Honestly, what do you think? Do you feel it needs a belt?
LOL, you are hilarious, Ally! But wow, you have the most gorgeous legs ever!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Sheila. Sometimes I worry if others get my wacky sense of humor.
DeleteAmen! I was just wowzhing on those stems!
DeleteIn my case I'd have to ask, “Does this poubelle make me look fat?” On you, I think it looks absolutely perfect without the belt. LOL
ReplyDeleteHAHA! This is fantastique. You really captured the sleek, edge of la poubelle. Love the lighting on your legs in the second shot.
ReplyDeleteHahahah! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThe legs make the ensemble! Sexy!
ReplyDeleteWhich day do you get picked up? ;)
ReplyDeleteBwahahaha! Ally, you are a riot. I think I startled my neighbors, I just laughed so loud.
ReplyDeleteas long as you got great heels and legs, no belt needed!
ReplyDelete[oomph.]
COACH Bag Giveaway!
i can't stop laughing!!! you have AMAZING legs!!!
ReplyDeletehehehe, darling, you are so fashion!
ReplyDeleteI think a belt would be 'over the top' however those legs certainly make the outfit POP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know, I think a belt might be called for. ;-) You're wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! I only wish I had those legs. You'd look great in anything.
ReplyDeleteOooh lala, very French, you just need a poodle with bows to complete the look
ReplyDeleteHa! For a minute, I wondered if you were doing a top hat/dancing showgirl look. You've got the legs for the job. :)
ReplyDeleteHAAAAAAAAA! I thought it was a giant top hat at first!
ReplyDeleteNot to sound redundant, but those gams are fantastic!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic new trend! A belt could look great but at the same time I'm sure you'd like to maintain focus on this sophisticated and elegant piece.
ReplyDeleteHee hee! I particularly like the detailing around the hips and the high shine.. What gorgeous legs you have xx
ReplyDeleteHAHA! Just love the shinier belt, it's the perfect contrast to the matte material!
ReplyDeleteWait, is that a trash can?
ReplyDelete:)
Poubelle is French for trash can. :)
DeleteYesterday, after the Mermaid Parade, we were eating pizza in an outdoor restaurant. A worker carried a garbage can by our table. I said to my friends, "I've got an outfit just like that!"
You are a stunning French Rubber Maid. Whew, I'm starting to feel a little hot and bothered. Go easy on us, dear friend, especially the ones susceptible to sexy maid costumes...lol.
ReplyDeleteYou know I'm perfectly crazy 'bout you, right?
Love, peace & grace,
Lynne
French Rubber Maid cracked me up!!!
DeleteSadly, I couldn't afford your designer Poubelle label. So I found a cheap knockoff at Walmart, but it doesn't have that flattering "nip-in" at the waist or the shiny patent curvature at the hip like yours. It's also a little too short on me. I thought about sending you a picture, but I'm afraid I look trashy.
ReplyDeleteHa! The puns are endless. :)
DeleteOh, my! this trend is starting to be more and popular! I just have to order such dress online as in local stores with have only green ones and in huge size!
ReplyDeletethat's so funny! You totally made my day
P.S. tell your legs I love them. oh no, let it be their nto-so-secret admirer
Oh you are hilarious! I love this. I took French in high school and even though it's been a long time, poubelle is always one of the words I remember - sounds so much nicer than the English translation doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteAnd damn those legs! Amazing.
it took me a moment to realize exactly what you were wearing! lol. and you really do have some amazing legs!
ReplyDeleteIsabel @ Walk of Fashion
This post made me lol! Thanks for the Monday morning giggle :)
ReplyDeleteI was not sure if my other comment went through or not! Wow! I totally thought this was photo-shopped at first! You are so awesome for doing this!
ReplyDeleteJust doin' my job, Ma'am. I was put here to make nice people laugh. :)
DeleteThis is awesome (and speaks volumes about how the world of fashion tends to take itself too serious at times, IMO), point blank, dear Ally.
ReplyDelete♥ Jessica
Oh I really liked this ! very creative.
ReplyDeleteIt's how you sell it !
If you ever want to quit being a lawyer, well you've got a good chance at marketing.
HAHA! Awesome. You have great legs so you really pull this off. I also like the french line parapluie.
ReplyDeleteThis reminds of me of the scene from Zoolander where the fashion designer is showing his line called "Derelicte".
Awesome! I'm thinking definitely a hat!
