Here's a pretty new dress with a happy new attitude. I styled the dress a few different ways. I'll bet not many of you out there own long pink gloves!
What do you think?
Oh, and if you notice odd bumps in the hip area, they are the dress bunching up from pockets there. Dresses don't normally have pockets, but this one does and the extra material bunches up there. Strange thing.
Love the dress, nice without the pink gloves.
ReplyDeleteI have pink gloves! :) They belonged to my mom in the early 60s: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_A7_orpvxans/S9t74N9P2tI/AAAAAAAAE4E/R8w9QfcSFb8/s400/Mar+%2710+194.jpg
ReplyDeleteI really like this dress on you. You look lovely in bright colours.
Question: and I don't want this to come off as critical, but are you wearing shapewear under this? You have some odd bumps going on in the hip/waist region. I don't wear shapewear myself, but it can really help smooth things out.
This outfit is so fun! I love your whimsical gloves!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back in the spirit. You look really great in bright colors. Gloves can really make you feel glamorous. I have a vintage pair of brown ones. They don't go with anything I own, but I love wearing them.
ReplyDeleteYour pics always make me shine.
ReplyDeleteThank you :)

Pretty in pink! Those gloves are the perfect accessory!
ReplyDeleteI love black and pink and it looks fab on you. I think the last picture with the black bolero/shrug is the best look.
ReplyDeletelooks great! i love the gloves. i love dresses with pockets but they can be super bunchy sometimes
ReplyDeleteKnow what you mean about the pockets. I have a tunic with pockets, and it bunches up there.... The dress is pretty! I like it without the gloves. I think the fun bracelets add a funky twist. :)
ReplyDeleteso glad we mutually found each other's blogs through isabel! Your dress is great and I am really loving the metallic pumps.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous dress! I LOVE the print!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful dress with those gorgeous legs on show ... and I love the hair!!! You can always cut the pockets out and sew up the holes if you cannot get them to lie flat.
ReplyDeleteYou look great! The dress is so pretty, and the gloves are cute!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG I love that dress!!
ReplyDeletelove that print!
ReplyDeleteI love this! What a happy print and a great shape. If the pockets are sewn onto the outside of the dress, you might be able to just take them off with a seam ripper. I have a couple of dresses where the pockets look bunchy too; if they're the built-in sort, you might be able to tack them shut with a few well-placed stitches.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty, but I prefer the outfit without the gloves. That's just plain old me though.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me wish I could just pop on a wig sometimes. The red hair wouldn't really go with the pink dress. But the brown compliments it nicely.
ReplyDeleteI used to have some long pink gloves. I wore them to my junior prom ;)
I love the dress but those pockets are tragic, have you thought about sewing them shut? It's one of those things I always tell myself I am going to do, but never actually complete. Sewing the tops of pockets closed can give you a sleeker look around the hip area. (lots of fancy stores sell clothes that way)
Oh my oh my oh my ... beautiful. I so much prefer this hairstyle on you Ally. You look stunning - the dress is such a great length and of course, shows of your amazing legs (have you noticed how many women comment on how envious they are of your legs?). Love it!
ReplyDeleteLovely dress, it's such a fun print! I love those pink gloves too, they're so feminine and pretty! I've always had a thing for long gloves...I need to find some somewhere. :)
