Brrrr, sounds cold! I started off the new year at my Brother-in-law's flat, slept in very late and then the 3 of us drove to a nice place in Hackney called Victoria Park where we had a lovely breakfast - it was right next to the school I did my teacher training at- it has changed so much!!!!
Even though the last post was sad, this photo cheered me up when I saw it on Facebook. Everyone was nursing hangovers, and here you are, on a little adventure as usual! :)
Sounds like the perfect start to 2019!! I nursed a hangover for much of the first and am having a hard time getting back into a routine, though I’m grateful for it all the same. Happy new year, buddy!
We had a REALLY wet walk at the Botanical Gardens ~ Which is out New Year's Day tradition ~ We wanted to see what the pouring rain had done to the waterfall and boy was it worth it!!!
Brr sounds chilly, but maybe exhilerating too?
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I had my brother and nephew over for breakfast, and after they left we pretty much vegged out with the dogs. I'm exhausted!
Yes, chilly and exhilarating. Motorcycle rides are often both. Glad you had a nice day.
DeleteWell it's a good year when it's warm enough, without snow that you can get out on the bike.

What a great start of the year, Ally! We just lounged around yesterday, having had friends over on New Year's Eve. Have a fabulous 2019! xxx
ReplyDeleteAll the Best for 2019 Ally.
ReplyDeleteIt was a 5k parkrun to start the New Year for me. Hopefully I can get back into my running in 2019 and hopefully get my weight back down again.
Best Wishes

ReplyDeleteThanks, Sara. My recipe for happiness is to jump into adventures, most of which involve physical effort and some risk.

ReplyDeleteWe went over to a friend's house supposedly to use the pool but we never got to the pool!
ReplyDeleteI made cedar planked steaks for the fam. My dad and stepmom both had to work but we all got to sit down to a late dinner.
