Seventies

A new store just opened near me called Rosie's Vintage. How can I resist looking in?

Its vintage wares are enticing. I spotted a cute dress from the 1970's with a print and colors that remind me vividly of that era. The dress is made by a small company in Hawaii. I don't know if the style of the dress is Hawaiian; it might be.

    Orange and hot pink are yummy hot together. You hit a vintage jackpot with this one. You could have appeared on "Laugh In" in one of the little windows at the beginning of the show. Remember?

    Ooohh, you lucky duck, you! I super wish a vintage clothing store would open up here (but alas, those that have tried over the years could never make a go of it, as there's so little interest in vintage fashion around these parts, so I do understand why no one is taking the plunge at present). Fab first buy from it!

    I think the cut of this dress really works well on your frame. The empire bust line in particular is smashing.

    What a fun, cheerful garment and way to keep the sunny palette of summer going a bit longer into the year.
