My post on Saturday documented the Mermaid Parade. I took other photos that day which are more artistic. These pictures include areas of Coney Island beyond the Parade and are aimed more at aesthetic beauty than the event. I hope you like them.
Well, this is fun. We ain't got nutthin' like this in Minnesooota. Hmmph. Makes me sad! Also makes me contemplate a move! I'd do it for the girl with the green hair. Girl crush!
Omg, that little girl with the hoola hoop. Her expression is so priceless. What a great candid shot. It's my favorite. I love all of them but she took my heart.
Very cool photos. I like the first 3 a lot. I have never visited Coney Island while I lived there. I would like to one day. Daphne. http://fashiondivamommy.blogspot.com
Your eye for a photo is getting much sharper! I love all the photos, but pictures 1-4 and the photo of the car wheel are exceptional! This looks like it was a hoot! (Am I the only one who sees a bit of a Katy Perry resemblance with the girl in the green wig? Must be the outrageous hair & make-up...)
This looks like the most fun.thing.ever. I wish there was some place cool like this in St. Louis. But there isn't. I should invent my own Coney Island in the STL and name it ... Bonnie Land. Or the Litter Box. But people might not want to go there.
Not only does this look like an amazing event (hot ladies in costumes- doesn't get better!) you also captured the event perfectly! I absolutely love the first photo of the ferris wheel and the car tire- I would never think to take those!
Love the photos, they start off with an old world charm, the quintessential Coney Island charm and then you progressively take the viewer on an edgier journey!! You have a great eye behind the lens!!
OMG, Ralph, I LOVE your pictures! The expressions you captured are fabulous, especially the one on this guy's face... http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-T-rbtggCUQY/Tf4gMlbjnKI/AAAAAAAAAz0/pVkC48SULWM/s1600/a93.JPG. And the Weird Women banner. I love that one so much I have to ask you to send me (e-mail) a copy. :-)
Fantastic pics, so much fun and joy.
