I'm welcoming Spring in an all-white ensemble. This outfit started when I spotted a pretty Charlotte Russe dress at a thrift-store ($10). The fringe-hem appeals to me. It reminds me of the Sixties when fringe was hugely popular.
I add white gloves, shoes and choker, along with a flower-pin from a friend -- again a Sixties reference.
What do you think? Are you ready for Spring? Is your wardrobe?
Very cute! It's the 60s does flapper-era 20s. It suits you!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sheila.
DeleteVery flapper! I love 60s fashion although I don't have any personal memories (since I was born in the mid-60s). And spring... can't wait! We have the spring sunshine but not the temperatures, unfortunately...
ReplyDeleteI have a pearls and gloves look, too! I associate it with Audrey Hepburn! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute dress, Ally--love the fringe! And yes. I am ready for spring. So is my wardrobe :)
ReplyDeleteXOXO
It looks nice on you. As a closeted cross dresser I could see wearing something like that around the house for the simple pleasure of enjoying the fringe and the retro look but I would be hard pressed to find a way to wear it out of the house.

We need our friends to invite us to private parties in their homes.
DeleteFab. I'd love to do some ballroom in the dress.
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous special one.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately we are getting ready for winter in my neck of the woods!!!
I love this look but it seems it would be terribly...drafty! Ha ha! That is one of the shortest dresses I've ever seen. Certainly not for the timid.
ReplyDeleteThat fringe is fun.
bisous
Suzanne
Well... you're right of course. I was actually waiting for someone to remark on the length (or lack of it). This is what happens when you put a 6' gal who normally wears XL in a medium-sized dress...
DeleteWell, it comes close to showing off the Good China! *Winks* But I Love the Styling of it, reminds me of Flapper Era, my Nanna got Married in a Flapper Dress, which I always thought was ultra Cool! Dawn... The Bohemian
ReplyDeleteLove the fringes and the retro look :) Kisses
