For dinner I picked a restaurant 100 miles from home simply to enjoy time in the saddle. The restaurant serves buffalo and its owner has a herd of them. I had a Grilled Bison Filet with a Campari on the rocks.
Walking around town, I went in a dark alley and saw an excellent opportunity for a photo. This is me, looking as tough as a marshmallow like me can look...
Love this, what a fantastic night.

Love the photos! The play of shadows is very compelling. I ate Bison, once, and unfortunately, i got very sick. A bit of snow in the city, but the sun just came out! I hope you are back on your bike very soon!

The next time I am in Riverhead and I am there around any meal time I will surely hit Tweeds. I love a good buffalo burger and I have also had elk and both are good to eat. When I worked in the city there was a place called Buffalo Bill's that was near the Pan Am building that was always work the price of a good burger.

100 miles! Holy Moly that is quite the distance to go for a good meal. Wow. But if it was good ride and a good meal then it was more then worth it!

How awesome! I loved that you picked a restaurant 100 miles away and went. Mmm and I do like buffalo burgers & steaks. Yum! And your photo is awesome! I was just talking to a friend who's heading to NYC...that snowstorm sounds like a bad one. Hopefully you guys get some spring-like weather soon!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to just pick a far away restaurant and go! Love the shadow pic :)
ReplyDeleteThat photo is very "noir" :) I love that you picked a place 100 miles away so you could take a good ride...
ReplyDeleteI love that double shadow effect. Although you need to be carrying something more shadow worthy! Maybe your bike helmet?
ReplyDeleteGlad you squeezed in a ride. Hooe you are surviving the snow!
