The annual Oyster Festival in nearby Oyster Bay, Long Island is one of our best local events. It's very popular and full of fun. Lots of good food, craft-vendors and sights. I went today and snapped a few shots.
I love seeing the summery clothes and photos of peopel outdoors having fun. Bacon on a stick, well that is something my hubby might like.. great shot of you, btw, and the house with the turret. ah.. xx, Elle http://www.theellediaries.com/blog/
I did comment on this post but it seems to have disappeared ... With that Bacon on a Stick stand you could have thought you landed up at a Bacon Festival!!!
I have yet to make it to the Oyster Festival, but I've heard that it's a debaucherous event. Some of my farmers market/craft fair friends have told me that it's gotten too sloppy with the drinking! Have you had that experience??
No. There's a significant presence of police and security which would halt anything moving in that direction. Then again, it's a very big event (150,000 people) so there are always gonna be some drunks.
The lama (or is it an alpaca?) looks so cute! Beautiful post dear! Thank you a lot for your last comment on my blog : ) Sending much love! Xx Rosa Larissa Klara conscious lifestyle of mine
