When I was young, my family socialized and vacationed with two other families (the Grosses and Mayers). My parents were best friends with the parents in those families (Walter & Gertrude; Warren & Inge). Recently, at the urging of Warren's granddaughter, I called him up and chatted for an hour. Warren is 89 years old now but still healthy. His personality hasn't changed a bit.
Here's a photo from our joint trip to Letchworth State Park in Western New York back around 1970. Can you pick me out?
From left to right are: Walter, my brother Richard, my mother Barbara Jo, Warren, three Gross kids, me, Inge and Wendy (mother of the granddaughter).
I was part of a similar group when I was young - we used to camp with several other families and I became close with a couple of the kids near my age. In fact, one of the boys and I had crushes on each other! The good ol' days.

I knew which one was you right away - that sass transcends gender. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat comment!
DeleteLol! I spotted you right off. Sheila had it right - the sassy hip tilt gives you away. So do the rad aviators.
ReplyDeleteI spotted you right away, it was your smile and the cool aviators. We also had a family we met up with yearly and camped with in summer. We actually met them at the campground and my parents struck up a friendship and every year we always camped in the same place and reserved the same spots. We lost touch though as they lived several provinces away.
ReplyDeleteYour pose gives you away!!!
