I bought this top and skirt separately, not realizing how well they go together. It was only while playing in my closet that I saw their affinity for each other. Together, they're going places!
Honestly, I don't even know how to name these colors. Blue and green is as close as I can get but they are iridescent so one's perception of their hue changes depending on light and viewing-angle.
Lovely, Ally and both peacock and mallards come to mind with the top. The top reminds me of my tube of paint Pthalo Green (blue shade) and the blue in the skirt looks like cyan. Of course, that's how it looks on my monitor and may not be true. Anyhow, it's a lovely combination and I very much like Spring! xo
Looking very colourful, Ally. It was indeed serendipity that your top and skirt found each other. They both look great on you, and I love it that you're wearing yellow tights! Very Spring like! xxx
Both the top and skirt are lovely. I see your issue with picking a color. About 8 years ago a friend had to get rid of an almost vintage 1992 Porsche 968. It was a short lived model that replaced their 4 Cyl. 944 and it was only made for 3 years. It was a beautiful aubergine green. I had never seen a car that particular color. It looked to be a different color depending on the light and how it was viewed. In bright sun it did have a bit of a green patina. In the garage it looked like a deep blue, almost navy. When seen on the road it had a turquoise like color but when viewed in a rear view mirror it looked black. My son has the car and he treats it like his baby. It still has less than 20K miles and is over 25 years old. Pat
Perfect combo for spring, Ally! Hmm... I'd guess a turquoise color for the top? Canary colored skirt with hints of emerald. How's that?
ReplyDeleteGreat rich colour combo!

Sometimes I call the blue greens a teal. Gorgeous whatever you call it!
ReplyDeleteIt's peacock! A bit of both. Lovely velvet, Ally!
ReplyDeleteThese colors are lovely! I'm not sure how I'd best describe them either, but I love the look!
ReplyDeleteI'd call that a deep teal- and it's so pretty on you!
