Psst! Can you keep a secret?
We're one week away from my favorite holiday -- April Fool's Day. It's an occasion to play pranks on our friends and family. Some of you know how eager I am to do that every year. A while back I made Robin jump out of her pants when she saw (what she thought was) a crazed squirrel sneaking into our kitchen through an open window. (It was, in fact, a small stuffed animal.)
This year, I have two surprises for her. First, when she goes to pour soy-milk into her coffee that morning, it will be blood-red (from food-coloring). Second, when she opens our mailbox, instead of mail she'll find a wild animal staring back at her. Actually, it will be a harmless stuffed panda-bear. But the shock will be real.
Are you planning any jokes this year?
You are such fun!!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't plan any jokes although perhaps I should think of some!
Ahhh! This is going to be such a great surprise for Robin! The blood red milk would probably scare the shit out of me, lmao! That panda is too cute! :)
ReplyDeleteSo...I'm guessing Robin doesn't read your blog?
ReplyDeleteThe red milk is a great idea. I need to try to think of something for Robert. I'd love to move all this clothes out of his closet...that'd freak him out! LOL
bisous
Suzanne
No, she doesn't, nor does she do any social media. I love your idea for Robert!
DeleteHee hee that reminds me of when I was in college and my friend Jerry took a mannequin had on loan from going to school at F.I.T and stuffed in under the bushes in front of our friends Terri's house so only the legs were sticking out, haha well her sister went out for the morning paper and boy did she get a scare! She truly though there was a dead body on the front lawn.

You are such a trickster!
ReplyDeleteApril is a month of blogging challenges for me.
Firstly, my fake alter-ego ENID will commence her month of journaling on SpyGirl for International Fake Journal Month.
Secondly, I'm doing an April A-Z blog challenge on my pattern design blog (Pattern Recognition) with the theme of Tartans of the US states and Canadian provinces, A-Z. Jokes on me for that one. There are a few tartans that I still have to create. Gah!
Oh you are a prankster! That bear in the mailbox, sweet as it is, which give me a jolt too. Now you have got me thinking....

Ally, you are so mean (but funny!). I would personally MURDER you if you did that to my milk- it reminds me of a childhood memory where I went to my friend Rabia's house and her sister told me the blackcurrant juice was blood which totally freaked me out and when I subsequently heard about the Biblical plague where the water and rivers turned to blood it made me really upset!!! Bad Ally!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the name of your post I honestly thought I missed it lol. I thought, "Is it April yet?" lol. That's how fast time flies. You are such a prankster but I am secretly waiting to see photos of it lol.

ReplyDeleteMonica.
The first one.. I'd flip. The second, I'd melt :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was little, my dad and I LIVED for April Fools Day. He would always catch me with his pranks, even when I knew it was April Fool's Day. Those years playing pranks on each other are some of my favorite memories :)

What nice memories. I'm glad I triggered them.
DeleteLOL I love this. I mean, I'd maybe want to kill you if I had a heart attack after pouring "blood" in my coffee or seeing a stuffed panda in my mailbox, but I love that you bring these fun elements into your day :) XOXO
ReplyDeleteThat has to be the cutest prank ever! Who wouldn't delight in finding a precious stuffed panda bear toy in their mailbox?
ReplyDeleteI hope these first few days of spring are smiling on you, Ally - just like the big smiles you bring us online.

I'm not sure I'll like to see red coming out of a milk carton that would freak me out! But the panda is hilarious! Was she shocked?
