Sometimes Internet slang has actual use.
We face pressure to conform our whole lives. Late in life, however, our tolerance for it diminishes.
We have individual preferences on subjects like art, entertainment, personal activity. Those preferences deserve respect.
I'm adopting the trendy expression: "Don't yuck my yum!"
Thank you for introducing me to this trendy expression, Ally! xxx
ReplyDeleteThat's a phrase which certainly makes it clear what it's saying in quite a teenage way!
ReplyDeleteLanguage is ever evolving. I kind of look forward to the new thing. Tells me a lot about the kids these days. Course I still frequently use phrases out of date and region specific or even things that turn the heads of people born and bred in the south!
ReplyDeleteOh, that's such a useful phrase.
ReplyDeleteSee also "Not your circus, not your monkeys!" which you can swap out 'you' with 'my' as well.
I guess it's the classic "that ain't my problem" 😁
But now we "olds" know it, it becomes obsolete. Cool, hip, rad!
ReplyDeleteSadly true. Right on, you groovy chick. :)
