Blues Music

Tonight we enjoyed blues music performed by talented guitarist Toby Walker at our favorite bookstore (The Next Chapter LI). In addition to prodigious musical ability Toby is an amusing raconteur with many funny stories.

Before the concert we devoured large lobster rolls at DJ's Clam Shack. I refuse to admit Summer is over; tomorrow will hit 80 degrees here.

  1. I do love Blues music and there are quite a few really great Blues artists. My two favourite are John Lee Hooker and Screamin’ Jay Hawkins.

Toby’s guitar looks like it’s been well used, I bet it’s had a good life.

Thanks for sharing and enjoy the 80 degrees. It is wet and Windy here right now 🤭

    1. Toby mentioned his guitar is 95 years old. He plays often in your country so look for him there. Sorry 'bout the bad weather.

  2. I love blues music - and jazz - as it was the music I grew up with. My Dad had many blues and jazz records, which I might have started listening to before I was even born! xxx

    1. Me, too. I've always had an affinity for the blues. I used to go to BB King's performing venue in NYC back in the day.

  3. I love taking in a small show like this! I'm not a huge blues/jazz fan, but you know I love seeing music live. I hope you do this more, Ally!

    1. Thanks, Sheila. I'm trying. It exhausts me physically but is good for my morale.
