Not just literally true but also a metaphor for life. What we shoot out to the world comes back at us in multiple ways. Ripples travel in all directions.
That is indeed so true. If you help others and you are kind, you do find it comes back to help you. I helped a work colleague proof read her reports last night and she said it taught her a lot (she's Zimbabwean and says she has a little difficulty with English grammar and phrasing at times). I said I'd help her out again tomorrow and when I felt sad earlier about all the cliquey people in my school and how all my friends have left, I realised actually, this lady I'm mentoring would be a lovely influence on my as a friend so perhaps that might be a positive potential. P.S. Pool is fun but I'm not very good at it!
For several summers, I played at a community center that had pool tables. We always thought we were Very Cool and Grown Up playing, though we didn't know the rules in the slightest. -laughs!-

Wisely said, my dear friend. There is a great deal of truth to this metaphor, which calls to mind the concept of the Butterfly Effect - not mention Newton's Third Law.
Fantastic action shot of you getting ready to break. I don't play billiards myself, but some of my family members (especially my mom) are excellent players, so I've been around the game for much of my life and have a real soft spot for it.
It's a great metaphor for life.
