My favorite pen-store is offering the new
Marilyn Monroe pen made by Montblanc. It's lipstick-red with curves and a pearl on the clip. A beauty.
$920/$785/$680 for fountain-tip/rollerball/ballpoint
Would you enjoy receiving one as a gift? BTW, when's your birthday? :-)
Why is a fountain pen $ 240 more than a ball point? Is it the glamour?
ReplyDeleteI would find it hard to manage, being sure to lose it!

Good question, JJ. Prices for fountain-tips, rollerballs and ballpoints all have this relative difference. I don't know why.
Deletewell, my birthday is today, the 29th! Nice of you to ask😁. Actually, I am hoping for a new Babylock Serger. I collect sewing machines like you collect pens. We all have our passions.
ReplyDeleteYes we do! Happy Birthday, Gloria.
DeleteOh my word, so much money for a pen! I don't think I'd dare to use it! :-D

Almost Stylish
It sure is a beauty however I am not a pen lover to the extent that I would spend that much money on one.
ReplyDeleteBirthday number 55 coming up on 13 January.
This may be a duplicate..
ReplyDeleteSorry in advance if true.
Love the red writing instrument, can’t call it a pen at that price.
I do admire it, but would ever spend that much on something that I could lose, or worse, yet, have tumble to the ground where my shiz-tzu would think it was a chew toy...
Happy week !

My bday in in January but I'd be terrified of loosing it!
ReplyDeleteThat is GORGEOUS!!!! I didn't know Montblanc had a pen dedicated to iconic Marilyn <3
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice looking pen, though like everyone else, the price is pretty high. However I do know there is value in paying for quality supplies. In art school, my supplies were as much as my tuition
