Party Time!

Those of you who follow my journey know how much I enjoy dressing up and engaging  in feminine activities.  The only sad part of it is that I'm almost always alone.  Doing this by myself -- with nobody to talk to or share it with -- makes me feel lonely and isolated.  That's one reason why blogging has been a joy for me -- it's as close as I've gotten to living female and having girlfriends.

Two of my close friends, Nicole and Jamie, are aware of this hole in my life.  In an act of great kindness, they recently offered to throw a party for me -- one at which I can present as female.  That means I get to wear a dress!  And nail-polish!  And Spanx and heels and jewelry.

Other than once on Halloween, I've never appeared in public or at a social setting dressed in pretty clothes.  Anticipating the opportunity to do this makes me giddy with excitement.  I'm bouncing around like Tigger on drugs.

We scheduled the party for a Saturday night (March 3rd).  It will be here, on Long Island in New York.  If you're in the area at that time, let me know and I'll send you an invitation to the party.  I wish you all could attend but I understand how most of you can't hop on a plane and travel far.

If you can't make it but want to join in the fun, you could wear something pretty, take a picture of yourself and either e-mail the picture to me (for posting on my blog) or post it on your blog (and I'll link to it).  In this way, you can be a "Guest In Spirit" at the party.  If you want, I'll add you to my post about the party, which will probably go up the day afterward.  I'm eager to share this experience with you guys as much as possible, so this is one idea I had.  If you have any other ideas for how to share the party with you, please suggest them!
