I hate to say it, but the over airbrushing just makes me LOL so hard. Whenever I see it I sort of guffaw to myself because not one person believes that a person can look like that. Not to say people missing limbs couldn't model, but in these cases its clearly just an airbrushing mistake.
hello shybiker, i came by via Lynette's blog.. actually i m looking for some fashion/shopping blogs to write reviews.. can you pls drop me an email so that I can furnish you with more details?
this is pretty bad alright.. but its good reminder to us all when we still have that creeping notion that if only we lost the weight, got the boobs or botox or nip and tuck that we could manage to look like that one day!! OIY
Oh wow! This is creepy that no one noticed this in all of the photoshopping madness! When I see magazine covers with a model with a 'perfect' body/complexion it angers me because this is who media wants us to measure ourselves against. Not only is it unrealistic, it's also unhealthy (and a lot of times unattractive!) I loved Dove's campaigns because they used real people and it was beautiful!
I recently left comments for Forever 21, one of my favorite stores, because their current models are so skinny that I am HOPING they are Photoshopped because I can't stand thinking that real girls would look that unhealthy and skeletal. I wanted to cry looking at them.
I know we're all supposed to know nowadays that all that stuff is Photoshopped and rise above it. But I think there is still something that sticks in our brains anyway.

ReplyDeleteHA! That is funny! It is so glaring.
ReplyDeleteHmph! Maybe their models ARE missing limbs, and you're very un-PC to make fun of them, you savage!
ReplyDeleteROFLMAO... couldn't keep a straight face while typing that!
You're up awfully early... don't tell me you're working today to get more billables in?
