Wild Ponies

My friend Nicole just returned from a visit to Assateague Island in Maryland.  I myself went there two decades ago.  Nicole and I were both attracted by the same thing -- wild ponies.  These beautiful animals are feral and live in nature untamed by man.

Here are some photos, all taken by Nicole...

  4. Whoa, if they are feral, she sure got close for these photos. I need to learn more about this place.

  6. So beautiful. I "have" to go there every 4 weeks or so for work. I sell to several of the gift shops and drug stores around that area. I love to go sit and watch the ponies while I have lunch.

  7. These are beautiful photos! It's so easy to forget that this type of wild beauty still exists in the world. Thank you so much for sharing and thanks to your friend for snapping a few pictures!

  8. Gorgeous photos. I want to kiss them all. But, being feral, they would bite my whole face off. So, I will save my kisses for less bite-y creatures.

  9. Nice! Horses are hard to take pictures of. I know. I tried once. I'm not sure if they were wild or not, but it was not a good experience. So good job, Nicole!
