Not to mention, like you said, I feel like I am just sharing little snippets of my life, and not everything. It does take some time to figure out, and I'm still learning, but overall it's my favorite.Francyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17585122575455632885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4885867892898159023.post-74157984483757742892011-03-09T22:25:20.332-05:002011-03-09T22:25:20.332-05:00I love Twitter. It seems to me that your experience is only as good as the people you follow. So, its good to search for keywords that mean something to you and jump in to the conversation.

I think the native Twitter interface really stinks. It limits your ability to do that robustly. I find 3rd party clients like Tweetdeck or Hootsuite (what i use) to help manage the conversations work best. This allows you to create several columns or conversation streams which you can follow.

Say you like motorcycles. You can do a search for #motorcycles and save it as a stream and follow any post that uses that hashtag.

I think a good place to start is to see if your fav. bloggers/celebs/magazines/websites have twitter icons listed on their profiles. I'm sure you will find many do. That gives you a good place to start for finding people to follow.

Good Luck!Fuzzygalorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05198483186952639226noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4885867892898159023.post-17508444100172766532011-03-09T18:58:55.458-05:002011-03-09T18:58:55.458-05:00I am on twitter but I don't understand how to ...I am on twitter but I don't understand how to use it. I started using HootSuite a few weeks ago, which has at least helped me streamline my Twitter and Facebook accounts because I organized various Twitter streams by topics of my choosing and can post on Twitter and FB simultaneously.

the narcissists' diary / the closet narcissist

@narcissistersJenarcissist @ the closet narcissisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07427993886300110387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4885867892898159023.post-2518915906032379162011-03-09T12:51:04.507-05:002011-03-09T12:51:04.507-05:00Ahhhh, Twitter. Twitter is what led me to being discovered by the Grammys to blog for them during their broadcast. It also led me to being recognized by some of the top current fashion bloggers.
It has helped raise the popularity and notoriety of my blog. I didn't understand it & kept off of it for a good while. Then I decided to come back only to document itsy bitsy parts of my life as if someone cared. I know no one was actually reading my tweets, but it felt nice to post stupid stuff & I could easily do it from my phone. Now, I use it for, well, the same reasons but it's totally different. It's nice to know what's going on the instant it happens or whatever. I've had lots of good luck with Twitter. Lots.
