Exercise Wear

Do you exercise?  If you do, what do you wear?

I think it's possible to be stylish when exercising.  Or, at least, colorful.  Here I'm playing with color to make the activity special.  What do you think?

P.S., Sometimes photos don't accurately record outfits.  You may not realize it here, but I'm wearing a yellow mesh-top over my purple bralette and pants.  The mesh-top almost disappears in the pictures, while making the purple it covers look pink.  In real-life, the mesh-top covers my belly and makes the outfit look much more modest.  To cure this optical flaw, I'm adding a detail-shot which shows the mesh-top more clearly.

  1. Wow ! This is one colorful attire for the gym, I like it ! After all, that shade of pink is your color, isn't it ? :) I usually wear black or blue pants to the gym, and colorful tops ! Your outfit is bright, fun and lovely. Kisses

  2. Very sassy! You look much better than I would look while exercising. I am the throw on your ugliest clothes cause you're going to sweat in them type. As always the pink and purple look fantastic on you.

I see you're the sexy type.

  4. So cute! I tend to wear my oldest, baggiest tees and a plain pair of shorts to work out. You've "out-girled" me in the cute-exercise-wear department. ;)

  5. You're definitely girlier than me in exercise attire, Ally! I'm a shorts and t-shirts gal in the gym and on the Ulty field.

  6. I wear comfy joggers and a baggy tshirt... nothing quite as stunning as this outfit! I love those bright purple leggings (and you have great legs!).

  7. Fabulous workout wear colour palette! It partners mine (pink) and my mom's (purple) fave hues together, with some punchy yellow thrown in for good measure - and is, IMO, far more appealing than the 80s workout wear styles of decades past.

  9. I hate exercise. I force myself to go to a bootcamp class once a week. It's black leggings and a strap top with training bra for me. I will never splash out for anything good to wear because it's meant for sweating in and everyone else looks as bad as I do

  10. wear hotpants instead of leggings and my yoga teacher would be happy! she always forced us to wear minimal clothes so they can not come in the way of movements and she can clearly see if we do it right. and the colors are very india! and i see no problem in the sheerness of the mesh top - there is nothing to hide :-)
for the other kind of exercises i use to wear this: http://bahnwaerterhaeuschen.blogspot.de/2013/11/liebestal.html

  16. When we had a Gym Membership I liked to look for Attractive, yet Modest Exercise clothing since I was in Public. Exercising now at Home I have to confess I'm less inclined to care what I wear while exercising so long as it's just comfy. *smiles* Thanks for coming by my Blog for a Visit, you were spot on about the difficulty in embracing the present situation completely... because it seems so bleak that its rather depressing if I didn't think that things could improve and we could still enjoy a better quality of Life in spite of the circumstances beyond our control. I'm working on having Contentment though, while still trying to solve some of the problems innovatively. It's like trying to eat an Elephant, just have to do it one bite at a time and not look at the magnitude of the task! *Winks* We're very close to Phoenix rather than Tucson... I Love Arizona and have grown to embrace even our Summers!

  17. Lovely colours!

I do exercise (or try to) and follow a routine of ballet inspired routines. I tend to wear a very tight cropped sleeveless exercise top and to make the ordeal a better one, I wear my now ragged white net petticoat just to pretend I'm a washed up ballerina! I would like to get some ballet practice shoes and a pretty leotard with chiffon skirt x

  18. You look like you would fit right in at a very hip and stylish gym. I only wear dark colors to the gym.

  19. I don't go to the gym, but when I run outside I stick with fitted runner's shorts and fitted tops. I need to jiggle as little as possible when running and often requires a running bra and two running tops. It's a pain, but not wearing them is worse.

You remind me of Flash Dance in this : )

  20. LOL! My current exercise involves sawing logs (metaphorically speaking), but whenever I do some heavy lifting I pick a pair of ragged jeans or sweatpants and a loose shirt.

I wish I had some of those fancy yoga pants and tops everyone loves, but I'm too lazy even for yoga! (Plus I'd never wear the yoga pants, except to sleep in!)
